Traumatic Incident Reduction - TIR

WHAT IS TRAUMATIC INCIDENT REDUCTION?

Traumatic Incident Reduction (TIR), from Metapsychology, is a brilliant method of helping people heal from trauma. When Ezreena uses the bi-lateral vibrating paddles with TIR, it is even more effective!

Unresolved past traumas retain their emotional charge and continue their adverse effects until the incident has been fully confronted and processed. Once resolved, the incident will no longer have the power to cause pain and suffering to the person. If there is a negative response to a memory, this means the incident has not been resolved – it is a clue for the person to go back and heal that experience.

A string of unresolved incidents can have accumulative effects which present as symptoms of anxiety, anger, depression, grief, fear etc.

Traumatic Incident Reduction (TIR), has a client re-view and re-tell a disturbing or traumatic incident several times. This repetition allows the client’s psychological system to process the trauma bit by bit and discharge the emotional energy that has been suppressed. When the emotional energy has been released, it allows a space for the client to receive a new perspective about the incident – this shift in perspective allows one to fully heal!

Tramatic Incident Reduction is effective in many types of therapy: Anger ManagementSocial Anxiety and Panic AttacksDepression and Trauma/PTSD

**{One young man was referred to me because he could not get “over” the death of his sister. Knowing that he was stuck on “how” his sister had died, I chose to run TIR. After several run-throughs, he spontaneously came to the realization that he was now ready to let it go and move on with his life…… and still keep the loving memory of her!}**

WHAT DOES A TRAUMATIC INCIDENT REDUCTION SESSION LOOK LIKE?

Traumatic Incident Reduction (TIR), is a very specific method that Ezreena will prepare you for. Usually the process of Unblocking is used before TIR.

If you are processing one known event (such as a car crash), then prepare for a 2 hour Traumatic Incident Reduction session (Basic TIR).

If you are processing a sequence of similar incidents or a theme (such as anger or anxiety), then plan for a 3 hour Traumatic Incident Reduction session (Thematic TIR).

The process of TIR has you begin at the start of an incident, then you will silently view the incident, like you are watching a movie in your mind, until the end of the incident. Then you will report what you saw in your mind. This is called a “run-through”. These steps are taken many times until all the details of the incident surface up into your awareness and all the energy is discharged.
